Why Pilates and Weightlifting?

  • Pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses primarily on the deeper core muscles of the body, along with other muscle groups. Pilates emphasizes the mind/body connection through slow and controlled exercises that can be done using your own bodyweight, a reformer machine, or other apparatuses. It helps with posture, spinal alignment, balance, and flexibility.

  • Weightlifting

Weightlifting consists of lifting heavy weights to increase strength, endurance, bone density, and more. We have a mix of weightlifting equipment to suit beginners to intermediate/advanced members. From barbells, to dumbbells, we are able to tailor the workout to your specific needs!

  • Conditioning

We like to call this our “Zoomie” station. This acts as our conditioning element to class and will vary the most. From burpees, to mountain climbers, our goal is to get your heart rate elevated to increase your cardiovascular strength and endurance!

“During and after college, I had upwards of 3 gym memberships at a time; 1 for pilates, 1 for weightlifting, and 1 for general use. I always wanted 1 place, 1 workout, that would encompass ALL of my desires into one.”
